I never thought fairy tales could be so much fun for kindergarten. We are closing this unit this week, and it is so great to see how much the kids have learned throughout this experience. Not only have they learned different story elements (characters, setting, problem and solution) and started comparing/contrasting different versions of each fairy tale, but they have a new "Fairy Tale Ball" experience that will forever be a connection when reading in this genre.

Fairy tales can be so much fun even though they have a scary element. Let's face it, our kids are pretty tough when it comes to scary. I find when I have a first grader struggling with reading, if I give them a fairy tale to read, it boosts the confidence because of the familiarity. Thanks for keeping fairy tales alive!
